Joseph has served faithfully, and has seen no permanent favor in his life. However, Pharoah’s butler remembers Joseph in a moment of need. Pharoah has an unusual dream, and needs to find an interpreter. The butler suggests he call on Joseph. Pharoah then related his dreams to Joseph, of seven scrawny cows eating 7 healthy animals. He then refers to a dream in which seven dried up ears of wheat eat up 7 healthy, plump ears of grain. Joseph gives God glory for being able to hear from heaven and interpreting the dreams.
Joseph goes on to let the Pharoah know what the dreams mean. There will be 7 years of plentiful harvest, followed by 7 years of famine. He gave Pharoah ideas about how to handle this, and Pharoah set him over all the nation, even giving him Pharoah’s signet ring and allowing him to ride in Pharoah’s second chariot.
After 13 years of his own famine and maltreatment, Joseph is exalted to a position of authority and the dream begins to unfold. How long have you waited on an answer to prayer? for a deliverance? for healing? Whatever you have been waiting for, look ahead and begin to see the powerful hand of God at work in your life, fulfilling your dreams right before your eyes! If you can believe it, you can see it!
