Sermon Notes from April 26, 2015
Joshua 24:15 (NKJV)
15 And if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”

I.  The Example of Christ
Matthew 20:28 (NKJV) – 28 just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.”

II.  The Liberty to Serve
Galatians 5:13 (NKJV) – 13 For you, brethren, have been called to liberty; only do not use liberty as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.

III.  A New Spirit of Service
Romans 7:6 (NKJV) – 6 But now we have been delivered from the law, having died to what we were held by, so that we should serve in the newness of the Spirit and not in the oldness of the letter.

IV.  The Power to Serve
Hebrews 9:14 (NKJV) – 14 how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
