The Lord instructed Moses as to the appropriate form and time of daily food offerings.  The composition of the offering would be one lamb in the morning and one in the evening, along with fine flour as a grain offering mixed with oil.   This was ordained at Mt. Sinai and would be made by fire regularly.  It would also be accompanied by a drink offering, both morning and evening, and it would produce a sweet aroma to the Lord.

The Sabbath offering would also be two lambs, fine flour, mixed with oil, and with a drink offering as a burnt offering, besides the regular burnt offering.  This burnt offering would be dedicated completely to the Lord, and not consumed by man.

There are things in our lives that need to be committed to the Lord without needing to consume them ourselves.  Tithes, specific offerings, gifts and talents should be dedicated to the Lord without holding anything back.  Give fully and freely to the Lord.  Hold nothing back, for He is truly worthy of receiving our all.
