Seven weeks from the time the grain begins to be harvested, Israelites were instructed to offer a freewill tribute offering to the Lord.  They were to rejoice and remember the blessing of deliverance from Egypt.  The Feast of Tabernacles was to be observed for 7 days, a feast from the proceeds of harvest.  The three feasts required for all Israelites were: the Feast of Unleavened Bread, the Feast of Weeks, and the Feast of Tabernacles. At each of these, the children of Israel were to bring an offering unto the Lord.

God’s people should always remember the blessings and deliverance of the Lord.  When we look back at what God has done, then we can trust and believe for what God will do in the future.  Never forget the goodness of God.
