Psalm 93:1–5 (NKJV)

1 The LORD reigns, He is clothed with majesty;
The LORD is clothed,
He has girded Himself with strength.
Surely the world is established, so that it cannot be moved.
2 Your throne is established from of old;
You are from everlasting.

3 The floods have lifted up, O LORD,
The floods have lifted up their voice;
The floods lift up their waves.
4 The LORD on high is mightier
Than the noise of many waters,
Than the mighty waves of the sea.

5 Your testimonies are very sure;
Holiness adorns Your house,
O LORD, forever.

This brief psalm, written by an unidentified author, lifts up the glorious reign of the Lord over the earth.  He is clothed with strength and His throne is established from old.  The mighty floods make tremendous noise, but the Lord is mightier than the noise of many waters.  The testimonies of God’s greatness are true and the Lord reigns forever.  The writer sees the power of God over time and nature.  He lifts up the powerful nature of the Lord and exalts Him above all else.  When thinking of God, never sell Him short.  When involved in worship, know that the greatness of God cannot be ignored.  His acts and His nature are worthy of our affection and admiration.  Lift up the great God of eternity!
