Psalm 34

1 I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise will continually be in my mouth.

4 I cried unto the Lord and He heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.

8 Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good: Blessed is the man who trusts in Him!

12 Who is the man who desires life, and loves many days, that he may see good?

14 Depart from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it.

18 The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves such as have a contrite spirit.

  • Lord, help me to be a person of praise whenever and wherever I go.
  • When I cry to You, I will have the confidence that You hear me and You save me.
  • Help me to walk in faith and not in fear.
  • You are good, O LORD, and I experience Your goodness daily. I trust in You and look forward to reaping the blessings of Your hand.
  • I ask You, Lord, for long life and prosperity. Although I do not deserve it, please grant it to me in Your mercy and grace.
  • Help me to discern between good and evil, and to seek peace with all men every day.
  • Lord, come near me when I am in trouble, when my friends turn their back, and I do not have an ally. Speak peace to me and allow me to hide in Your presence. Save and heal me, O LORD.

Psalm 35

1 Plead my cause, O LORD, with those who strive with me; Fight against those who fight against me.

8 Let destruction come upon him unexpectedly, And let his net that he has hidden catch himself; Into that very destruction let him fall.

17 Lord, how long will You look on? Rescue me from their destructions, My precious life from the lions.

24 Vindicate me, O Lord my God, according to Your righteousness; And let them not rejoice over me.

27 Let them shout for joy and be glad, Who favor my righteous cause; And let them say continually, “Let the Lord be magnified, Who has pleasure in the prosperity of His servant.”

  • Lord, I long for You to defend me against my enemies.
  • Fight for me, and destroy those who rise us against me.
  • Let their cunning traps deploy against them. Let them be caught in their own net of deceit.
  • Lord, I am growing weary waiting on Your action. I know You are there, but I long to see the fruition of my prayers unto You.
  • Rescue me, for I am alone and they seek my life!
  • Take revenge on my enemies. Prove that I am right and true. Show the world that You are pleased with me. Do not let them dance on my grave.
  • But those who come to my rescue and praise the Lord Who saves me, let them feel the blessings of God upon their lives. Let the righteous be rewarded and the evil be destroyed, and let God be exalted forever!

Psalm 36

10 Oh, continue Your lovingkindness to those who know You, And Your righteousness to the upright in heart.

11 Let not the foot of pride come against me, And let not the hand of the wicked drive me away.

  • Lord, extend Your mercy to me. Let it flow unto me forever. Do not withhold any good thing from me.
  • Do not bless me because of any righteousness I do, but because I love and serve You. In Your mercy, bless me, O LORD.
  • But I pray that You cut off my enemies and destroy my foes. Those who rise up against me and against You, O LORD, destroy them and take them out for Your glory.

Lord, You are righteous and holy and humanity is evil and flawed. I cannot stand before You except for Your grace. Thank You for loving me. I will do my best before You and I ask You to forgive my shortcomings and my failures. I love You. In my pursuit of You, though, Lord, the devil and his minions come after me to destroy me. Give me the power through Your name and through Your Holy Spirit to triumph in spite of my enemies. Stop them from their devious acts and set me in a secure place in You. You are good. The goodness of God tastes like the sweetest honey and the freshest bread. You are great and mighty and awesome. I am just thankful to be in covenant with You and to walk with You daily. I praise You, O Mighty One. I worship You, O Holy One. I honor You, My Savior!
