Willing Givers and Artisans (Exodus 35:20 – 36:1)

All the willing hearts of the Israelites brought the items Moses had asked them to bring.  Gold, silver, threads, acacia wood, etc., were brought to Moses for the building of the tabernacle.  Then God revealed who the artisans would be to build the tabernacle and its fixtures.  Bezalel was called and gifted in artistic work with gold, silver and jewels, and in woodworking.  Also, he had put in the heart of Bezalel and Aholiab, to teach and do all manner of work in engraving and making tapestries with all types of thread and weaving artistic work.  So these two men were secured to do all manner of work for the service of the sanctuary.

Talents and gifts are given to each of us.  We all have different gifts and abilities, and they are unique from person to person.  Whatever God has given you, however great or small you may assess that ability to be, God wants to use you for his glory.  Just as Bezalel and Aholiab were called to design and build the tabernacle, you are called to fulfill an essential role in the body of Christ.  Identify your gift, develop it fully, and then put it to work for the glory of God!
