Sermon notes by Dr. Greg Sloop from a sermon preached Sunday, January 15th in the 5:00 pm service at Kannapolis Church of God.
Proverbs 10:6–7 (NKJV)
6 Blessings are on the head of the righteous,
But violence covers the mouth of the wicked.
7 The memory of the righteous is blessed,
But the name of the wicked will rot.
Blessings come from our life and how we live it
Blessings come from our families and how we love them
Blessings come from our God and how we serve Him
BUT
Blessings come to those who experience our lives if we live them well
Blessings come to our families if we love them well
Blessings come to God when we serve Him well
Revelation 14:13 (NKJV)
13 Then I heard a voice from heaven saying to me, “Write: ‘Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.’ ”
“Yes,” says the Spirit, “that they may rest from their labors, and their works follow them.”
Our loved ones who knew Jesus as their personal Savior are blessed from now on. They live in the presence of the Almighty, their Creator, their Lord, their Savior.
They are at rest from their labors, their earthly responsibility or load, from their sorrows, their troubles. They rest in their Lord.
Will you follow your blessed that died in the Lord?
