Passing the Faith Along Part Four: The Price That Was Paid

The Price That Was Paid

1 Corinthians 6:19–20 (NKJV)

19 Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? 20 For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.

How Great a Price

The Price Paid by the Father (John 3:16)
The Price Paid by the Son (John 15:13)
The Price Paid by the Apostles
The Price Paid by Our Fathers and Mothers

The Father

John 3:16–17 (NKJV)
16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.

The Son

John 15:13 (NKJV)
13 Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends.

The Apostles

History reveals the fate of the apostles:

PHILIP: Stoned to death, Phrygia, a.d. 54
PETER: Crucified, Rome, a.d. 69
