Rare Word – At times in history, the word of God has been scarce or rare due to sinfulness or apathy on the part of man.
REVELATION – 1 Samuel 3:1 (NKJV) Now the boy Samuel ministered to the Lord before Eli. And the word of the Lord was rare in those days; there was no widespread revelation.
INTERPRETATION – Daniel 2:11 (AMP) A rare and weighty thing indeed the king requires! None except the gods can reveal it to the king, and their dwelling is not with [human] flesh.
9 The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever; the judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether. 10 More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold; sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb. 11 Moreover by them Your servant is warned, and in keeping them there is great reward.
Psalm 19:9-11
In this passage, David describes the value and the goodness of the word of God, encouraging the reader to read, cherish, and receive reward from it. In light of David’s words, the following thoughts are imperative:
