Psalm 47 (NKJV)

Praise to God, the Ruler of the EartH

To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of the Sons of Korah.

1 Oh, clap your hands, all you peoples!
Shout to God with the voice of triumph!
2 For the LORD Most High is awesome;
He is a great King over all the earth.
3 He will subdue the peoples under us,
And the nations under our feet.
4 He will choose our inheritance for us,
The excellence of Jacob whom He loves.

• Lord, I will give high praise unto You! I will clap my hands and shout out Your greatness!
• You are most awesome, Lord Most High! You are the great King above all others!
• God, subdue our enemies, and make all our enemies cower at our feet.
• Pick out the best place for us to live and give us the best gifts You know will benefit us.
• Thank You for loving us. Send us down the path that meets our needs and glorifies Your purpose. You know best, and we trust You completely!

5 God has gone up with a shout,
The LORD with the sound of a trumpet.
6 Sing praises to God, sing praises!
Sing praises to our King, sing praises!
7 For God is the King of all the earth;
Sing praises with understanding.

8 God reigns over the nations;
God sits on His holy throne.
9 The princes of the people have gathered together,
The people of the God of Abraham.
For the shields of the earth belong to God;
He is greatly exalted.

• You, O LORD, are the Warrior King. You lead into battle, and You sound Your trumpet loudly for us to follow.
• We do not war with weapons as men, but we follow You, trusting You to win.
• I will sing praises unto You. You deserve my best praise. Your works are amazing and beyond my comprehension!
• You are King. Reign over me, my life, my family, my world.
• I know You to the depth of ability that a man can know You. Your power and greatness are beyond me, but they carry me and make me whole.
• Your throne is awesome and blinding in its pure light. You sit in majesty and glory.
• All the rulers of the earth will bow before You. They will all drop their shields at Your feet.
• You are Lord of all!! You are exalted and holy. You are the King of Your people, and the ruler of all the earth and heaven.
• Thank You for loving me. Thank You for saving me. Help me to always worship You in the beauty of holiness, O LORD!
