Psalm 111 (NKJV)

Praise to God for His Faithfulness and Justice

1 Praise the LORD!
I will praise the LORD with my whole heart,
In the assembly of the upright and in the congregation.

• Praise be to You, O LORD. With all of my being, I lift You up, a praiseworthy name and being!
• I will praise You in the church, in my home, and in all the world.

2 The works of the LORD are great,
Studied by all who have pleasure in them.
3 His work is honorable and glorious,
And His righteousness endures forever.
4 He has made His wonderful works to be remembered;
The LORD is gracious and full of compassion.
5 He has given food to those who fear Him;
He will ever be mindful of His covenant.
6 He has declared to His people the power of His works,
In giving them the heritage of the nations.

• I will declare the greatness of God. Your works are great and have been observed and seen by people all over the world.
• Every act of Yours is honorable and glorious. You are righteous and holy, and Your great presence displays such at all times and forever.
• Your works are wonderful, and will never be forgotten. You are full of grace and compassion, reaching out in love to anyone in trouble.
• I long to experience Your greatness in my life on a daily basis.
• Your provision is given to those who believe in You. You feed Your people and they never starve or do without.
• Provide for me and allow me to rejoice in the knowledge of Your greatness.
• Your covenant is a comfort to me. In it, I find confidence in Your care for me.
• Let me always recognize Your power and experience it in action as You fight my enemies and protect my person.

7 The works of His hands are verity and justice;
All His precepts are sure.
8 They stand fast forever and ever,
And are done in truth and uprightness.
9 He has sent redemption to His people;
He has commanded His covenant forever:
Holy and awesome is His name.

• You are the source of Truth and Justice. Let me hear from You and live in Your greatness.
• You are Upright and Your words and actions are true and holy.
• Redemption is Your goal. Reach out to us and rescue us from our sins and the enemies of our soul.
• You are holy and awesome and Your name is to be praised above all others.
• Let me experience Your covenant, Your mercy and grace, and Your truth, so that I may serve You and be blessed.

10 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom;
A good understanding have all those who do His commandments.
His praise endures forever.

• I will live in the Fear of the Lord, submitting my life unto You.
• Give me Your Wisdom that I may obey You and follow all Your commandments. Give me understanding in all things and help me to live right before You.
• Eternal praises are due You. I will glorify Your name at all places and among all people. You are worthy of praise above all others. Keep Your praises on my lips and Your joy in my heart. I need You always, O LORD!
