Psalm 112 (NKJV)

The Blessed State of the Righteous

1 Praise the LORD!
Blessed is the man who fears the LORD,
Who delights greatly in His commandments.

• Praise the Lord. I will honor you for all that You are and for all that You do.
• Fear the Lord. I will honor You with my thoughts and my actions. I will seek Your blessings as I seek Your face. You are worthy above all others to be praised.
• I will obey Your precepts and laws, and will follow Your leadership. I delight in You!

2 His descendants will be mighty on earth;
The generation of the upright will be blessed.
3 Wealth and riches will be in his house,
And his righteousness endures forever.
4 Unto the upright there arises light in the darkness;
He is gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous.
5 A good man deals graciously and lends;
He will guide his affairs with discretion.
6 Surely he will never be shaken;
The righteous will be in everlasting remembrance.
7 He will not be afraid of evil tidings;
His heart is steadfast, trusting in the LORD.
8 His heart is established;
He will not be afraid,
Until he sees his desire upon his enemies.

• As Your children, allow us to be mighty, spiritual descendants of the Most High God. Let us pass down the riches of Your kingdom to generations to come.
• Wealth and riches, belong to You, are owed to You, because You are great, and Your blessings are everlasting. Thank you for Your generous provision to Your children.
• Let me live upright before You, because Your blessings come to the upright, and Your provision to the faithful.
• Be the Light on my path. Show me the way. Reveal Your truth, and I will walk in it.
• Give me grace, and then help me to be gracious to others. Make me generous and kind with all people.
• I Will Have No Fear. I will not be shaken. The memory of my works for You and Your goodness unto me will last through generations.
• I am Established in my heart. I am Yours and not another’s. You are my Savior and Shield, and I will not be afraid.

9 He has dispersed abroad,
He has given to the poor;
His righteousness endures forever;
His horn will be exalted with honor.
10 The wicked will see it and be grieved;
He will gnash his teeth and melt away;
The desire of the wicked shall perish.

• Generous are You, O LORD, and I will be generous.
• Righteous are You, and I will follow Your example.
• Honorable and honored are You, and I will honor You as well.
• Wicked is the earth and its inhabitants. Bring grief upon the evil and draw them to salvation.
• Anguish is their portion, until they come to You or face their eternal punishment.
