Psalm 98 (NKJV)

A Song of Praise to the LORD For His Salvation and Judgment

A Psalm.

1 Oh, sing to the LORD a new song!
For He has done marvelous things;
His right hand and His holy arm have gained Him the victory.
2 The LORD has made known His salvation;
His righteousness He has revealed in the sight of the nations.
3 He has remembered His mercy and His faithfulness to the house of Israel;
All the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.

• Lord, I will sing a new song to You, a song of Your great works to me!
• Your works are marvelous and Your strength has won the victory for me.
• You are famous for Your ability to save those who trust in You.
• You are well known among all the nations that have seen Your strength at work.
• You have miraculously saved the people of God in Your faithfulness.
• All the earth can see the glory of Your power and might!

4 Shout joyfully to the LORD, all the earth;
Break forth in song, rejoice, and sing praises.
5 Sing to the LORD with the harp,
With the harp and the sound of a psalm,
6 With trumpets and the sound of a horn;
Shout joyfully before the LORD, the King.

• I will shout to the earth of Your praise!
• I will sing and dance, play instruments of strings and of horns.
• I will shout joyful praise unto You, O LORD!

7 Let the sea roar, and all its fullness,
The world and those who dwell in it;
8 Let the rivers clap their hands;
Let the hills be joyful together before the LORD,
9 For He is coming to judge the earth.
With righteousness He shall judge the world,
And the peoples with equity.

• I pray that the earth will declare Your glory.
• Let the sea roar, let the rivers clap their hands.
• May the world and those who dwell in the earth praise You, O LORD!
• Let the hills echo joyfully with Your praise.
• You are our judge and Lord. You will weigh us in the balances, and we will be tested.
• Show Your righteous ways in the earth. Let us see Your throne rise above us as You declare our sin and chastise us rightly for our weakness.
• Show us the right way to judge, with equity and fairness.
• You are the righteous Lord of the earth and we worship You!
