Thanksgiving for Deliverance from Death
8 For You have delivered my soul from death,
My eyes from tears,
And my feet from falling.
9 I will walk before the LORD
In the land of the living.
10 I believed, therefore I spoke,
“I am greatly afflicted.”
11 I said in my haste,
“All men are liars.”
- You are my constant Champion and Deliverer.
- You give me joy for my sorrow, and laughter for my tears.
- You keep me from stumbling, and You guide my steps.
- I will follow You, my Lord and God, wherever You may lead, for You know the path to truth, goodness, and blessing.
- I will live and not die, for You are with me.
- I will trust in You, even if my words decry my condition.
- I will declare God true and every man a liar.
- You promised my good, and I will walk in it all my days.
12 What shall I render to the LORD
For all His benefits toward me?
13 I will take up the cup of salvation,
And call upon the name of the LORD.
14 I will pay my vows to the LORD
Now in the presence of all His people.
- How can I praise You? What can I give for all the good You have bestowed on me?
- You have saved me, delivered me, made me whole. Keep me in Your will, and guide my feet in the right paths.
- You alone are my salvation and defense.
- I call upon You for my deliverance and my salvation.
- I will fulfill my promises to You, I will honor the covenant into which You called me.
- I will declare You before the people.
- I will follow You. Strengthen me every day, and keep me from turning away from You.
- I pledge to You my soul and spirit, and I will live to glorify You!
